I think you also have to ask yourself how many shares have they sold over the years. The answer is none. I own a lot of shares in my companies stock and while I think the company is going to do great I never buy more shares than what I get as part of my compensation. Why? It makes no financial sense to do so. In fact my financial advisor said no way as you need to diversify as you get older. Everybody has to manage their own finances, right?

The other point is while I am sure there have been opportunities where they are not restricted from buying in a small company like this the risk of looking bad is very high. Doug knows every deal on the table. A 10 million dollar settlement is material. My guess is there are dozens of those out there at a time. How do you plan around those? The portfolio is too large and the company only has a small number of employees and I don't see how they ever get around this problem. Bigger companies have less issues since size of deals are usually not material.

Finally how many shares would satisfy you guys? If he bought 5k you would say who cares as it was a token. 20k, 50k, 100k? What's the number as I am sure people here will say it's not enough. So if your sitting here holding shares waiting for insider buying you might as well sell and move on. It has not happened and I dont think it will. But once again how many shares have been sold? Zero.
