Finally got time to compare to the data that I presented this weekend for trading 200ma monthly crossovers against my chart. My chart is slow to exit using a EMA 34/50 xo, but is quick to enter with a EMA 7/20 xo.
My chart started in cash in 2000 and then only went to cash 2 more times, 2008 and 2016. If I had waited until horizontal support was broken to trade, the 2008 trade would have been delayed 4 months costing -3.5% compared to not waiting. However the 2016 trade would have not triggered saving a -10.0% whip.
Summary
114% B&H 300% Trade 200ma xo at ME
327% Trade EMA 34/50 and EMA 7/20 353% Trade with EMA xo at support
So I think my chart is still a good one.
Trade the Charts and not the Heart - Expect the trend to continue until it doesn't - Realtime is the real deal
