Feb. 10-Another day when I didn't remove a single layer. I was grateful for the lack of wind gusts. Just a stiff breeze now and then that caused the prayer cloths to flutter and flap for a moment. I still didn't do much. The lettuce plants got their daily TLC. I set out another tray of 18 plants outside. The overnight low should be around 40 and will do no harm. More trays will go outside in the week ahead. The forecast calls for 60 Saturday, 70 Sunday. That will perk me up for some much needed digging.
My Baker Creek Seed order arrived, including a free packet of unique tomato variety. Green Vernissage. I researched it. It was developed by a Ukrainian breeder and supposedly has a somewhat sweet flavor. They grow to roughly golf ball size, and they are green. Where will I grow them?
