I'm almost certain that the FDA action against Anatabloc was politically motivated. Someone wanted to entangle Gov. Bob McDonnell, Virginia, in difficulties that would ruin his political career. The FDA action was also probably motivated by desire to defend commercial interests who constitute their real clients. It looked like anatabine-citrate (Anatabloc) might take away a large part of the NSAID and Statin markets. These two motivations led to actions that created a fatal storm for Anatabloc.
