The Postal Service has been remarkably innovative in recent years. Fedex and UPS both probably expected them to go out of business, which they nearly did.

Then you have the specter of Uber-like delivery services arriving. You know damn well that Amazon is working on saving every penny. They have the money to do anything they want.
