Indeed the validation process from thawing their cryopreserved MSC-NTF cells is nice to see, but realistically this ability to successfully thaw Bone Marrow derived MSC cells has been around for almost a decade, so this was, relatively speaking, a given.

They just needed to make the process steps as streamlined as possible.

And while they say they validated the process to thaw the cells, they give no mention of the percentage of viable cells that come out from the thawing process.

In the literature, depending on the process used, the viability of the thawed cells is anywhere from 72% to 100% recovery, so it would be nice to hear where BCLI's process fits on that spectrum, as well as more colour into the 'similar' profile of the thawed cells compared to fresh cells, as well as understanding what time period they used for their validation. As time goes by cell viability decreases.

Like I say, nice to hear but needs more detailed transparency to get the beneficial understanding from a relatively given validation.
