My thought is exactly that, equalization, and with it greater influence worldwide with our US finished refined fuels... AND now crude. Why? The new normal because of the lifting of export ban here on crude oil. I spoke up back when NTI was independent on what the lifting would mean to our partners profit margin. We benefitted greatly from cheaper US crude. It was only a matter of time....

Understandably the small local US refineries were against the lifting as the old model was at least 3x the spread as the current post ban spread between Brent and WTI, which s down to the freight cost to cross the Atlantic Ocean. The lobbying power and money of the large multinational oil companies that own refineriessss... all over the planet wanted the ban to go away. It gave them our Non-OPEC crude cheaper.

Now I hope the Icahn era, as I will call it, will shift a bit of influence toward OUR favored players. We shall see how it plays out. Watch for a shirt starting with the EPA and ethanol. Someone needs to publicize ALL the science, as it becomes political in a hurry.... Global warming became climate change when the proof in historical data was not supportive of the narrative.
