Thanks in part to a $250,000 grant from the Colorado Office of Economic Development, Lifeloc scientists have come up with a method that can not only detect the presence of Delta 9 THC in a person's exhaled breath, it can also identify the metabolite separately.

Does this "method" that Lifeloc's scientists have come up with require a patent or currently have a patent? I am not sure.

"Dr. Willkomm holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is also an inventor on 13 patents." I am not sure if it would be included in one of these patents that Dr. Willkomm holds?

Could the state of Colorado hold the patent since they provided the grant money?

All of these I do not know the answer to but it's worth an email to find out.
