Trump regime obfuscates and lies about chaos created from its Muslim ban

Since popular vote loser Donald Trump signed his hate-inspired Muslim ban, chaos has reigned.

People arriving in the U.S. have been handcuffed and detained, children have been separated from their parents, the White House has selectively ignored court orders from four federal judges, [ http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/1/29/1626969/-Trump-regime-obfuscates-and-lies-about-the-chaos-created-from-its-Muslim-ban ] and massive protests are taking place across the country for the second straight day.

Meanwhile, as Rome burns, the Fascist-in-Chief hunkers down in his bunker, insisting that his unconstitutional ban is “working out very nicely.”

But setting aside the fact that the Trump regime tossed out this pile of bloody red meat to appease its white nationalist, racist, bigoted cultists, let’s take a look at the explanations from the White House on this weekend’s chaos. On Saturday, during a background press briefing with a “senior administration official,” it was claimed:

… that Trump advisers had been in contact for many weeks with key State Department and Department of Homeland Security officials about Friday's executive order.

"Everyone who needed to know was informed," the official said.

Au contraire says everyone else.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/donald-trump-travel-ban/index.html

It wasn't until Friday ... that career homeland security staff were allowed to see the final details of the order … The policy team at the White House … largely avoided the traditional interagency process that would have allowed the Justice Department and homeland security agencies to provide operational guidance … Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Department of Homeland Security leadership saw the final details shortly before the order was finalized … the White House did not seek the legal guidance of the Office of Legal Counsel, the Justice Department office that interprets the law for the executive branch … career officials in charge of enforcing the executive order were not fully briefed on the specifics until Friday … after the Friday afternoon announcement, administration officials at the White House took several hours to produce text of the action … unsure at first who was covered in the action, and a list of impacted countries was only produced later on Friday night …

So, clearly the White House lied during its background briefing with the press. And when there’s a lie to handle, who better to send out than Sean Spicer? So Spicer hit the Sunday talk show circuit to spin on "This Week":
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/week-transcript-29-17-sean-spicer-sen-mitch/story?id=45112815

RADDATZ: How much of a heads-up did you give homeland security? You've seen the scenes at this airports -- [...]

SPICER: The people that needed to know knew.

RADDATZ: -- people weren't ready.

SPICER: What we couldn't do was telegraph our position ahead of time to ensure that people flooded in before that happened, before it went into place. So the appropriate leadership was notified and cables were being sent out through the state Department as we speak.

Oh. So it went from “in contact for many weeks” to “as we speak,” we’re getting around to figuring out what in the hell we’re doing. All, of course, to protect Americans from the Muslim hoards. Or as Spicer to movingly sobbed:

SPICER: But what do we say to the family who loses somebody over a terroristic (sic) -- to whether it's Atlanta or San Bernardino or the Boston bomber? Those people, each of whom had gone out to a country and then come back. Now granted they're not on -- on the country --

Yeah, yeah, you freaking "hysterical" protesters, what do we say to them?
Trump regime says ignore 'hysterical' protesters. Here's where to find a protest near you today

RADDATZ: None of those are countries on this list.

So we’re back to where we were: It’s an unconstitutional ban on Muslims from the fascist currently occupying the White House.
