I don't think Obama had anything to do
with it directly. Like I said there was an extended deployment by a carrier, one had a engineering casualty and there was a three carrier swap of home ports involving the USS Washington home ported in Japan. All these things happened at once. But like I posted before the Reagan is forward deployed in Yokosuka, the Vinson left for WESPAC Jan 5th(which includes the Indian Ocean and the Gulf)and the H.W. Bush left this morning from Norfolk for the ME. Three Carrier Battle Groups(CBG)in the region can pretty much respond to anything. Plus we have amphibious carriers deployed to the Med already there. They are smaller but lethal. You know the military might be depleted but we are still the best in the world. The Brass just wants to be intimidating enough that no one will mess with us and not start anything and not a shot will be fired.
