Kellyanne Conway claims ‘alternative facts.’ Twitter’s response is hilarious.

After Donald Trump aide Kellyanne Conway referred to outright lies as “alternative facts,” #AlternativeFacts is now a top trending hashtag on Twitter. Conway, who is President Trump’s top legal counsel, is the top subject of ridicule for Twitter users across the country, after insisting to Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press that White House Press Secretary wasn’t telling lies about Trump’s inauguration crowd, but instead presenting “alternative facts.”
Conway is now being universally mocked by Twitter users, who pointed out that they would not have as much success using “alternative facts” in situations like classrooms, courtrooms, workplaces, tax returns, or architecture.

Others presented “alternative facts” of their own, by making obviously false statements but backing them up with Kellyanne Conway’s new catchphrase

This is far from the first time Kellyanne Conway has been caught in a lie or dressing up someone else’s lies. Twitter users suggested that given her consistent avoidance of the truth, “alternative facts” may be something she depends on for her very survival.
Kellyanne Conway has a rare disease where if she actually answers a question or tells the truth she dies. #alternativefacts

Kellyanne Conway isn't crazy. She's alternative sane. #alternativefacts
— Truther Dare (@truther_dare) January 22, 2017 KellyAnnConway: It wasn't raining on Trump's inauguration day, that was alternative sunshine. #alternativefacts
But given Conway’s brazen insistence on obfuscating the truth, we can likely expect four more years of constant lying from the White House and its spokespeople.
