Same here. 15 years ago a co-pay was unheard of as was a medical bill. You went to the Dr in network, the insurance paid the "Usual and customary" fee and the clinic waived the rest and a Bill was never sent. Then came the $10 co-pays, then $20, and now this year I have $50 for a Primary Dr and $75 for a specialist. I was the not so lucky person to be diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 3 years ago. I take a handful of meds for it each day and do great with those now but as it progresses most people bump up to more advanced meds like Embrel and others in that group. Once a week shot and a 4 pack (4 syringes) for a month is $2,800.00-3,400.00 or around $30k for a year. I'm sure that will be a battle with my insurance when that day comes.
