No one could have anticipated the Mako/Rosen attack. After correcting from 4.90, without that heavy handed attack the price should have over-corrected to around $2+ and settled around $3. It did that and then Mako and Rosen did their dirty work. Short and distort has been around for awhile but this was a viral, social media-aided (SA argues this in part by calling itself a platform/forum rather than a publisher), fake news event that had little to do with even half-truths. It was something rarely encountered before, lies and distortion using twitter, blogs, chat boards, and SA.
