OWCP's Topical Cream Study Details

The study is with the National Institutes of Health.
The NIH is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Dept of Health & Human Services. This is the description of their purpose from their own text:

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.

Clinicaltrials.gov (note the .gov - only allowed to be used by the government) is the U.S. Dept of Health & Human Services trials website.
This is where OWCP's trial is being conducted.

Why not the FDA? Well, the FDA is in a bind as they're limited in what they can do due to marijuana currently being schedule 1 drug. They want to conduct research, though. Read this article: http://www.businessinsider.com/why-fda-believes-marijuana-is-no-medicine-2016-10as

Pertinant quote from the article:

FDA spokesperson Michael Felberbaum noted that the FDA has “an interest in developing therapies from marijuana.”

“We continue to encourage work to assess whether there are appropriate and effective therapeutic uses of marijuana and its components and believe the drug-approval process using scientifically valid and well-controlled clinical trials is the most appropriate way for this to occur,” Felberbaum said.

The problem is that marijuana’s continued placement in Schedule I creates a catch-22 that makes the “scientifically valid” research that Felberbaum referenced very difficult to conduct. While the DEA recently made it slightly easier for scientists to grow weed for studies, scientists who want to study the drug still face a massive tangle of red tape.

The FDA has called for the legal status of marijuana “constituents,” such as cannabidiol, an extract used to treat epilepsy and other conditions, to be reviewed separately in the future.

Marijuana is a schedule 1 drug yet states are passing it for both medical and legal use. People are receiving it (legally) for medical use. Did the FDA approve that those people can receive it? Nope, but they do. The government doesn't care, wait until they declassify the drug and OWCP is the only company out there actually conducting legit trails with the US govt. It will be a tsunami.

Long story short? OWCP is completely legit. All of the research and details are out there in public view to see.
Look at the DD and make your own call.
