I still believe outside of the convertible guys who have some bonds left and are short their stock, the majority of the other short interest are boxed shorts primarily Fidelity if I had to guess. As of 9/30 96 million shares were owned by institutions. The 41 million shares short have to be from those folks and they are probably surprised the company is paying the dividend which they have to eat.
