Hi Al, its all part of the mindset Scott Adams pointed out in his blogs that basserdan posted here.

It applies to most sorts of zealotry and blind allegiance. So Fox News'ers exhibit the same symptoms as do scientists that have based their careers on working on certain theories.

And then there's people like me who see through it all, try to be helpful by politely pointing it out, and try to get some minor humor from how illogical it is.
