Sadly_the news is that there_is_no_meaty_news to_sink_your_teeth_into.
Our potential future overlord (ie Bearing Resources) have appointed LIEG CEO Patrick Cussen to the Board of Directors at Bearing along with LIEG Director Luis Saenz as the new President of South American Operations. It would appear that we (ie LIEG) are simply going to slowly "morph" into Bearing with no significant fanfare/excitement that could have included a buyout of our shares at perhaps (I was hoping/guessing) a miserly 5-7 cents per share. Wealth Minerals didn't want to buy us. LPI does not want to buy us. Bearing Resources just wants to undo our belt, drill into our rear entrance and start parasitically growing within us by consuming what little fat is still leftover from last winter in our stomachs. We get no guidance from deaf/mute LIEG and previously gung-ho jabber-mouth LPI who used to "keep us in the loop" by publishing weekly drilling reports as they slowly agonizingly drill one test well per week for 16 weeks has gone eerily quiet since Dec 22 leaving us totally in the dark.

Cue the theme from the Jaws movie at this point. What is unnerving is that China is buying lithium mines at whopping multiples now. A South African lithium deposit valued at $25mil one year ago was bought by the Chinese for $107mil this January. Now insiders are predicting that perhaps $30billion from China's "secret" budgeted $361billion appropriation to acquire wind, hydro, solar, renewables and nuclear projects before 2020 could actually be used in Chile to start buying up lithium.

If we want to hope for the best then hope that the Chinese are quietly looking at the Maricunga NewCo JV with coveting eyes now and are willing to buy this similar-in-concept $30mil deposit at the same multiple they spent in South Africa which could mean this "deposit" could be worth $120million to the Chinese of which 17.7% should find its way into LIEG or MLB (Morphed LIEG Bearing).
