Wrestler Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka has died at the age of 73, according to reports on social media.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tweeted: "Our family @TaminaSnuka asked me to share the sad news that her dad Jimmy Snuka has just passed away. Alofa atu i le aiga atoa. #RIPSuperfly."
Tamina Snuka, Snuka's daughter, tweeted, "I LOVE YOU DAD #FOREVERMYDAD #RestWell #FamiliesAreForever #BestDad #SnukaLegacy," along with an Instagram photo that appeared to be her holding Snuka's hand.
Snuka in December went to hospice care in Florida and his health was worsening, his wife then told a Lehigh County judge. She also told the judge her husband had six months to live and his condition was terminal.
The judge ruled June 1 that due to his dementia and other factors, Snuka was not competent to stand trial on third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
Snuka's attorney, Robert Kirwan, in December also said the wrestler suffered a number of infections, and was hospitalized after the most recent infection led to psychosis and hallucinations.
Snuka was charged in September 2015 in the death of Nancy Argentino in Whitehall Township, following a grand jury investigation. Argentino was his mistress and Snuka was married at the time of the Argentino's death.
Argentino, 23, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was pronounced dead May 11, 1983, after authorities were called to a Whitehall Township hotel room. Snuka, the former WWF great known for his high-flying moves, wasn't charged until last fall after a county grand jury investigation.
