There are a number of strategies that can be uses, and a number of 'specialists' that have taken advantage of these situations in the past. Phil Tinkler CFO/COO of Same Zell's Equity Group Investments is one who I know has a specialty NOL shells/acquisitions. I came across Tinkler on a former investment where there was a significant NOL but no taxable income. But there are others.
