The complex SHLD/Kmart/Seritage situation will be more interesting to follow than RadioShack which owned no real estate and had no brands to compare with DieHard, Craftsman and Kenmore. I've always followed RSH stock and often shopped there. Not so much with Sears. The Shack had just two 2nd rate VC funds; here you have Lampert and even Warren Buffett.
In every such case vendors play a gigantic role. Many are reluctant to cut off an old/large customer like Sears/Kmart.
Did you read the 400+ comments at the end of that nice article? Many seem to be from insiders in various ways. Few posts were optimistic and almost none praised Lampert. I skimmed about half the comments.
