Found KeVita on the shelves next to Bucha this morning.
Did a family taste test with the wife and kids, 7- and 10-years old. We were split evenly on which tasted better. My 10-year old thought the KeVita tasted disgusting but he was the only one who didn't like one of the products.
IMO, KeVita is a quality product. It doesn't have little floaties in it and isn't a hard-core Booch. The typical vinegar and Stevia aftertastes kind of cancelled each other out.
KeVita has less sugar and less calories per serving (8 versus 12 grams / 35 versus 47 calories) than Bucha. But like many sweet, low calorie drinks, they make their hay with the aforementioned Stevia. I think KeVita (the single brand I tried) offers a less sweet tasting drink, which I preferred over the Bucha Grapefruit Sage. If Blood Orange had been in stock, my answer would be different.
Now, we're a company that's "gonna make a difference". I wonder what their stance on Stevia is? Literature seems mostly positive on it right now... but the half-life on nutritional information lasts a New York minute.
The beverage industry is retreating from sugar so less sugar and less calories per serving would be a mucho bueno thing.
