- Paul made Al Santos the first CEO of VitaCig when it was spun off of mCig in November 2014
- Sales immediately plummeted
- Al briefly (for about three months) renamed the product VitaStik. The brand name was his invention.
- VitaCig Korea and Germany applied for and were granted the trademark in their respective countries and started selling VitaStiks
- After eight months Paul fired him for lack of results
- Al took the VitaStik name, applied for a US trademark with a fraudulent cut and paste letter from Paul stating he gave up the rights and started his own company called VitaStik. To date, there is no proof he's ever sold a significant amount of his product and overseas partners have all verified that they never paid him any royalties since they all owned their own rights to their trademarks. mCig has prior rights to the VitaStik trademark and has challenged Al's claim with the trademark office. Al's application has never been granted.
- Since the VitaCig brand had sold for considerably longer than VitaStik, Paul decided it was not worth taking Al to court and he changed the name back to VitaCig.
- After firing Al, Paul decided to find a joint venture partner to take over majority control of the VitaCig company.
- In the meantime, due to the customs issue with Korea, VitaCig allowed both Korea and Germany to import product directly from the Chinese manufacturer, thus circumventing VTCQ revenue. This was resolved in January 2016 when VTCQ (now OMHE) re-negotiated the partner agreements.
- After several more months of lackluster sales and unable to come to agreement with a suitable JV partner, Paul decided to release CBD products under the VitaCig label and revenues started improving.
- Last July, Paul was finally successful in selling the VTCQ shell to Malecon Pharmacy/Omni and bringing the VitaCig products back into mCig. Several new overseas partners have been added since then, all selling products under the VitaCig brand.
Bubba continues to argue (on a daily basis) that overseas partners don't pay royalties to mCig because of issues with the VitaStik trademark. This is what he calls the "VitaCig/VitaStik debacle". This was never the case. Al Santos never had any trademark claim on the overseas partners or any valid claim on mCig. The entire issue is irrelevant as it's now clear that they are paying royalties to mCig and mCig has revealed that they have over $6 million in Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) contracts over the next three years. mCig post #79812
As for the article he cites in his following post, that too was completely debunked...
mCig Post # 80028
...as proof of how seriously if was taken by the market, note that mCig was trading at $.03 when it was released. LOL
