I know the Northwest vaccine is very suspect among many. I have huge problems with the way they run their company, but, their vaccine might work. There is a smart analyst named Larry Smith who is a believe in the technology. I've researched it and was uncertain. Vaccine trials are very difficult to run with a lot of failures, but it would be awesome if a vaccine worked. This is why I'm more hopeful with VB-111. It has two mechanisms of action.... inhibiting new vessel formation and producing an immune response. And if you look at the phase II data, it looks like you have better tumor control overall than with Avastin, i.e. slower progression and also survival after progression, but then you also have a minority of complete responders(2/24 in the phase iI)suggesting a very potent immune response in a minority. Scouring the data for Avastin in rGBM, it is vanishingly rare to see a CR.
