I have seen many, many mining scams that spend a lot of money up front to create a story. As I said on the Mexus board......

Let's say they spend $2 million up front to blast some rock, load a leach pad, and build a pond. They bring in some used recovery equipment, and the end result is the pouring of some gold bars.

Then, with investors all excited about that first pour of gold, they unload 100 million shares at an average price of 0.05 from the toxic lenders. That's $5 million in exchange for $2 million up front. Not a bad return for both the company and for the lenders. Everybody is happy, except for the shareholders who suffer through the inevitable collapse in price......
