At work, someone decided that we should all go to a restaurant this afternoon, last week. So everyone said ok.

I was thinking this morning, well, if all the employees are there, then maybe the boss will fork out some money.

So I went to the boss lady and asked if she'd pay for the drinks.

She said OK.

My collegues were surprised by 2 things, first, that I asked the question, and second, that it was accepted.

I think I blew their french minds with my Canadian way of thinking that the company might kick in a bit for Christmas.
