Fibertower was denied an extension before Wheeler took over as head of the FCC ...... He was appointed by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in November 2013. So I don't expect the FCC to just cave on their decision, however AT&T likely will want the limbo assets, so the chance for a face saving deal for all parties is still very possible
