I've always been leery of munis since the Whoops days.

Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS)

My safe money is in a Lipper fund yielding over 5% YTD.

Underlying Fund Holdings
Fund Name % of Fund
BlackRock US TIPS CIT F 30.10
Aon PIMCO Total Return Portfolio 2 23.30
US Large Company Index 10.10
JP Morgan Diversified Commercial Property Fund 9.30
Blackrock Commodity Index Fund 6.50
Foreign Company 5.60
Foreign All Company Index 5.60
Capital Preservation 4.00
US Small Company 2.50
Goldman Sachs EMD 50/25/25 Strategy 1.50
JPMCB High Yield Fund;Investment 1.50

I've always been a big fan of Pimco and when REITS crashed at the beginning of the recession I put everything into Pimco and survived the train wreck.

The 1970s were a hoot. Those 30 year Treasuries were yielding over 15%.
