In another way, I've been getting whacked lately.... my bonds. I've long owned Vanguard Muni Bond funds, and similar things. They've been fabulous over the decades and held up surprisingly well in the terrifying Great Recession, after a sharp drop for a few months in 2008.
Anyway, my Short Term and Intermediate term Muni portfolios have had a bad month, with all the expectation (reality?) of higher rates. In general I'm decently protected from rising interest rates. All my fixed income stuff is fairly short term.
I remember the 1970s!

Watching to see if we hit 20,000 today... Heck, I'm old enough to remember the huge party when the Dow hit 1,000 (it immediately collapsed after that!!!!)
