HDC Core Business:
Since HDC has been unable to commercialize anything in the past 10+ years, it appears that they have decided to venture into mystery novels, where shareholders are left in suspense. Let's summarize how this has been unfolding since September.
September 12: HDC issues shareholder letter announcing the formation of a development committee. WHAT? Surely this wasn't newsworthy, so why the communication? Does it mean the Neo relationship is dead, or does it mean that HDC expects revenue soon? Hmmmmmmm....
September 21: HDC files 8k with SEC indicating that it has been declared the senior party in the Intel interference proceedings. WHAT? I thought that issue was dead. Of course, HDC didn't consider this newsworthy, so there wasn't a shareholder communication. Interesting.......
October 18: HDC files 8k with SEC announcing resignation of Mr. Kaplan from the board. But hold it, wasn't he the guy with legal patent experience? Did he finish his job and set sail into retirement, or is there something more to it? Confusing......
October 26: In its Q3 earnings call, Neo volunteers that the long awaited prostate test does not use SVM technology. Surely this can't be. Even analysts have been asking about the status of the test in past earnings calls. And, lo and behold, Neo's website now references a commercialized liquid biopsy test for prostate cancer. Wasn't there supposed to be a big splash when this test was released after years in development? Maddening.....
November 14: HDC files request for extension with SEC, since it can't submit its required 10Q on time for the third straight quarter. But hold it, the company has no revenue. How can't it file on time? Silly........
November 21: HDC files 10Q, but there isn't anything substantive in it. So why the delay? Ridiculous......
So what's next? The suspense is agonizing, although probably for not too much longer, since HDC has indicated that it will run out of money by end of Q1 2017. Can't they ask for donations to keep this mystery novel going?
