SaaS platform to service Marijuana inventory tracking Seed to Store Platform
November 28th 2016 – We announced a material Event concerning our addendum to our business plan. We have submitted a Request for Proposal to bid for the contract to make an Inventory Tracking Platform for the Marijuana and Cannabis Derivative (CBD) industry. We have reserved the domain name www.inventory420.com and plan to build a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for this initial tender. The platform, once specified to its entirety, will allow comprehensive tracking of the “Seed to Store” process. To elaborate, the Seed to Store inventory tracking system shall track the type of seeds, where they were purchased, and all transition stages to the end point where it has been harvested and ultimately delivered to the store. The platform shall be customizable to handle different use-cases. It mimics the workflow of an “waterfall” methodology commonly used in process chain software development, however it will be versatile and allow permutations in case the fulfillment stage is more immediate than the regular flow (or more drawn out).
This is a screen shot of our “Coming Soon” page. The inquiry form and subscription form on www.inventory420.com is intended for potential clients who are vendors, growers, and harvestors, and transportators of such goods. It is not a store front to sell marijuana nor does it process or manage any money exchange for the sale of such product. We will not cover the payment processing to the consumer end, to abide by laws.
Once the client has produced it’s requirements, we can start defining the platform intricacies. The Platform shall be hosted on Amazon AWS EC2 servers. EC2 servers allow the flexibility for us to choose which server farm our code is domiciled, so that it abides by state laws and to avoid conflicts of hosted services from prohibited states pertaining to Marijuana legalities. AWS EC2 is our preferred hosting solution because it is resilient and have great security and flexibility to scale capacity.
This project is in its initial stages. The stages are as follows:
review RFP with client,
gathering requirements,
confirm requirements with client #1,
design data model,
design security and hash,
design aesthetics and compatibility for various devices and tradition monitor screen output
design authentication protocol,
redundancy and cron times,
deploy,
test,
API call test, and perform dry run.
Then we work in Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Release Candidate (RC1), and final Long Term Service release (LTS).
