How do you feel about this new naming convention, 14nm, 10nm,7nm etc when no feature is actually 14nm, 10nm,7nm etc? Seems to be to be just the battle of the marketing slides.

...all that matters is what you can deliver in terms of performance, power, and cost.........at what time and in what quantity.........how you get there (# cores/feature size/etc/etc) doesn't matter. In the past Intel's advantage was to a degree in device but much more so the fact that they got there sooner. Currently, I'd say much of the device advantage is gone and virtually all of the timing advantage as well. (relative to the foundries) So designs will play a bigger role as well as timeliness thereof. Intel failed miserably at that in mobile. They better get their act together elsewhere. Everyone else is stepping up their game.
