Maybe some are oblivious to the dubious nature of the company they are a director. But most simply don't care. They are retired, no longer care about the potential damage to their career. You see a lot of older geologists/mining engineers well beyond an active career, issue fraudulent reports or become directors of fake mining companies......they never would have done that while actively engaged in the legitimate mining industry.
