Any thoughts on what social media is acceptable for company disclosure - I know that Facebook and Twitter seem to be allowed. But where do you draw the line? Doesn't the company have to designate a particular forum as its official disclosure site?

El Capitan (ECPN), the platinum scam in New Mexico, apparently uses a chatboard to respond to investor's questions: http://ecpn.lmi.net/viewforum.php?f=2

You must log in to view it. As far as I can tell, there is no official link to this chatboard on the ECPN website. Yet, company management supposedly posts on this board. There are over 10,000 posts on this board, regarding ECPN.

Is this not selective disclosure?

At least with Agoracom, Facebook, Twitter, Ihub, etc., you do not have to open an account (and potentially provide private info) to view comments.
