It's waiting in the wings. Limited funds to take the easiest drug into trials first.

To raWnoC: HIV is a chronic condition, and trials could take a long time.

Flu tends to be an acute illness, although sometimes fatal, so trials should be faster than for HIV, which require long term monitoring of viral loads (years).

Flu outcomes are known much sooner than for HIV. Trials will have shorter follow-up and be of quicker duration.

Regarding "nobody that matters lately" (which is a violation of the iHub TOS to personally attack other posters), some people that matter are investing funds in NNVC lately. Everybody matters, amigo.

To It's loose: regarding the board, I am speculating like everyone else. Perhaps you could ask the same question to the other opinion expressing what the board said, which directly preceded my own.
