Technically, Gold is flat to slightly up from where it was at market close yesterday (futures closed the 15:45:00 period at 1171.85). But yes, you are right...any positive movement in Gold will send miners ripping. Need to see GDX get above this 21.50 hurdle and hold soon though IMO.

Also, really strange that Gold futures traded in a tight range from basically 1171-1177 all night. First time in a long while it's done that. "Potential" bull flag on the 15 minute and hourly...if it can break above 1176-1177...could see a decent pop.
