Correct on the absolute end game for VXX as " an investment ", or even a trade IMO, but using VXX / vix as an indicator against SP , SPX, SPY intraday seems to work pretty well.

For example, one of countless examples: spy failed 221.5 three times In a row yesterday, and looked ready to drop, which it started to do, but VXX never made a move up to confirm, and spy turned and pivoted back up.

When VXX is really working as an indicator for spy moves , it will actually front run spy , both up and down, which also has countless examples.

As far as giving " I path " a dime of $ , no thanks .
