jonQ, The software, apparently, does not sell "off the shelf", and needs to be demonstrated making the selling labor intense.
As for the readers, you don't need a public corporation to be a factory rep, and lack of diversity in product lines limits the commission potential.
Besides, it is easier for management to sell shares. JMHO
