The world's not better off then we were a year ago.

You don't invest in a world, or a government. Corporations are doing well, and it seems likely they'll be a corporate tax cut.

S&P 500 had just about an exactly average year over the last 12 months. It goes up about 6 or 7 percent a year on average.

SPY is up 6%. Corporate profits were up 7.6%.

You don't buys shares in your neighbor's feelings.
