Good morning!
The good news continues to pour in from Bakersfield, as two potential licensees bid for our business.
That's a direct result of our documented success in America's most productive oil county!
And we already know that our President-elect has committed to "clean water, crystal clean water" (interview link).
So the USA is a very busy place for us right now.
Meanwhile, China isn't standing still.
The Los Angeles Times recently profiled California-based companies that are doing well in China.
The article discusses our experience there:
Even China’s problems present lucrative opportunities for niche California companies. Heavily polluted water, for example, has drawn Chinese investors to companies like OriginClear, which is housed in the Los Angeles Cleantech incubator downtown and makes technology to treat filthy water.
Nice! You can read the full article here.
So... what's the latest in China?
Stephen Jan ???, Director of our China subsidiary, reports that two projects are in final stages of closing.
The first one is a huge environmental problem and needs a quick solution. Engineering has been done, contract meetings are in progress.
It is a 10 m3 per hour system (about 60,000 gallons per day). The second is a smaller project, 10 m3 per day.
Both could close before the end of the year.
The engineering team is also testing water samples nonstop for various projects:
TEST PROJECTS:
1. Electro-Plating waste water:
STATUS: TEST SUCCESSFUL, MOVING TO FULL PILOT.
2. Landfill "black water", three projects.
3. High bacterial count waste.
4. Waste water from Textile dyeing operations.
One hard-working test machine is doing these tests around the clock, and here's a shot of our engineers keeping it operational...
That's how it works: we get sent dirty water samples, we clean the water, send it back and then it goes to the next stage, which is the pilot project.
Once the pilot is proven, the full commercial project launches.
Along the way, we are learning vital lessons about how our technology works in a number of settings.
In short, it's living up to its promise as the fastest way to make water clear, without a lot of energy and chemicals.
That's exciting!
Have a great week.
