Japan's Abe to Visit Pearl Harbor
Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Monday he would visit Pearl Harbor in late December to pay tribute to the victims of the Japanese attack there 75 years ago, the first time a Japanese leader will have done so.
The visit is a mirror image in some ways of President Barack Obama's trip to Hiroshima in May, which was the first visit by a U.S. president to the site of the atomic bombing that happened nine days before the end of World War II.
