The best church I ever went to the tasks were spread out among many people to prevent burn out and get as many people as we could to be part of the church instead of the church being their come to GOD'S house waiting to be entertained.
Each Elder was responsible for groups of tasks so that if those people had problems, requests, anything at all they had a contact they could rely on.
It was a great system.
Also it was the Elders job to encourage, meet with them, get to know them, be aware of burn out.
About once a month we'd surprise different people from the grounds crew to whom ever to come up to the front of the church and we'd have gift cards for them to go get a meal or gift.
We'd let them know the whole church body appreciated their hard work.
Because we involved everyone in the church we could instead of spending money on cleaners, grounds crew, or what ever it allowed us to take that money we saved and have community potlucks, music events, all kinds of interactive community events doing what GOD'S word said to do instead of worrying about having the best sound system or the fancy pants chairs.
We were a country church who didn't get wrapped up in keeping up with the other churches and all their fancy pants equipment, building, etc it was about people not status.
Such great memories of church done right so we were good stewards of GOD'S $$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!
