Neither Federal Inmate David Foley nor NTEK, Hyper-Ware or any of his other BS schemes have a patent on 4K technology of any kind - period.

UF uses off-the-shelf codecs available to everyone on the planet - period.

UF claims to achieve lower bitrates for the simple reason that they don't use native 4K mezzanine sources, but rather HD and SD sources that are inherently smaller to begin with and thus require less "compression" - period.

Patents? What a complete load of crap.
