White People Have Gone Insane
Trump voters have decided that they deserve (even
more) special privileges just for being white.
I'm not being treated better than everyone else and that makes me mad!

An angry white man [ http://www.rawstory.com/2016/11/watch-angry-white-florida-man-cries-racism-after-deli-serves-dark-skinned-guy-before-him/ ] filmed himself trying to start a fight with a "dark skinned" family after they allegedly cut him in line. When the police showed up, they declined to arrest the family because the angry white man was "egging them on." He cried racism and persecution.
An angry white woman [ http://patch.com/illinois/chicago/angry-obnoxious-trump-voter-cries-discrimination-michaels-store-video ] flew into a 30 minute rant because a black employee at Michael's asked her to buy a $1 reusable bag. “Yes, I voted for Trump, so there. You want to kick me out because of that? And look who won,” said the angry white woman.
Another angry white man [ http://www.rawstory.com/2016/11/i-voted-for-trump-white-customer-demands-special-privileges-in-starbucks-meltdown/ ] threw a temper tantrum at a black employee in a Starbucks because his coffee was taking too long. At one point, he started to whine, “I voted for Trump! Trump! You lost, now give me my money back.”
Then there's that angry white guy [ http://thedailybanter.com/2016/11/trump-supporter-plane-rant/ ] on the airplane screaming about how awesome Trump is.
White conservative Americans have long considered themselves the victims of a system rigged against them. That this is laughably untrue from any angle you look at it is irrelevant. Fox News, AM Hate Radio, Republicans and the right wing blogosphere have been hammering home the same message over and over for years: White people are under assault, their rights and freedoms being taken away and given to Those People.
Now that Donald Trump has been elected, all those angry white people feel like they can bellow their indignation at not being given special consideration to the world. "I'm white and this is Trump's America! Bow down to me!"
But white privilege only works when it's invisible and these not-at-all-racist angry white people don't seem to understand this. And that's a good thing. The louder and more demanding of special treatment they are, the more quickly they will remind the rest of White America that racism is crass and annoying. Sure, voting for open racism seemed like a good idea in theory but seeing it in practice is another thing entirely.
Listening to an angry white woman [ http://patch.com/illinois/chicago/angry-obnoxious-trump-voter-cries-discrimination-michaels-store-video ] “I was just discriminated against by two black women, and you being a white woman, you’re literally thinking that that’s okay? You standing there with your baby thinking that’s okay” is not going to broaden the anti-minority vote. It will, however, make a lot of those not-quite-as-angry Donald voters rethink their decision to support these super angry and super annoying white people.
The downside to all of this white rage is that a lot of people are going to be hurt. We've already seen a surge in hate crimes and there's no reason to expect that to slow down any time soon. For the moment, racists think they can run rampant with no consequences. And even though they're in for a rude awakening [ http://thedailybanter.com/2016/11/racism-has-consequences/ ] in the very near future, that won't help their victims now.
On the other hand, by being so open about it and tying their hate so closely to Donald, these angry white people make it nigh-impossible pretend he's not a part of the problem. When White America grows weary of their obnoxious behavior, they're going to join with the minorities they turned their backs on and vote racism out of the White House and Congress.
But in the meantime, we're going to have to suffer through more spectacles of aggrieved white people bemoaning their lot in life as if America did not already coddle them. The poor, oppressed babies...
