Plane Crash in Colombia Kills 76, Including Members of a Brazilian Soccer Team
A plane crash in Colombia has killed 76 people, including members of Brazilian soccer team Associacao Chapecoense de Futebol, local authorities said.
The plane, carrying 72 passengers and nine crew, crashed as it approached Medellin international airport, sparking a rescue operation in the mountainous region.
Colombian police said five people had survived the crash, according to the Associated Press.
