Ive got a quick question that you might be able to help me with.
Did quotemedia OTC: QMCI provide exclusive rights to the NASDAQ to display free delayed stock options data?
About a year or so ago, QMCI free delayed options data were only available on three sites that I knew of.
quotemedia.com was one, nasdaq.com was one and here on ihub was the only other one that I was of aware of.
Since QMCI’s new product rollout about a year ago, the only site that displays this information is nasdaq.com.
While the nasdaq.com options summary for individual stocks is missing the QMCI copyright at the bottom, the option detail page still shows it.
This is a screen shot from tonight of an AAPL call detail from the NDAQ page showing the QMCI copyright.
Prior to QMCI’s new product rollout about a year ago, option chains displayed on nasdaq.com had a copyright shown like this.
nasdaq.com now seems to be the only site to offer quotemedia’s free, delayed and EOD option data to the public.
I have never had any contact with the company and have no plans to contact them anytime soon.
I was hoping you would know, or be able to contact them and find out why these changes have happened.
