Joint Staff Response from USCG Vice Admiral received 11/28/16 Pt 1
You'll recall I wrote Admiral Paul F. Zukunft, Commandant United States Coast Guard in August. My 9/28/16 response from his Chief of Business Operations stated "Security of our mobile devices is a component of our overall cyber security strategy (one of Admiral Zukunft's four priority areas). Together with U.S. Cyber Command and the Coast Guard Cyber Command, we're focusing significant attention on all aspects of our information technology investments.
I appreciate the referral to products developed and offered by Strike Force Technologies. This information has been provided to our information technology and cyber security communities for evaluation". Besides the USGC Chief of Business Operations (C4IT)
(Yes, our CEO Mark Kay was informed & mailed a copy by me.) I got a reply from the Director for Command, Control, Communications and Computers/Cyber Chief Information Officer
Vice Admiral Marshall B. Lytle III. I am encouraged that my mobile device COMSEC concern has been referred by Admiral Zukunft directly to his CIO. His response will of course be transmitted to our CEO Mark Kay and shared with you in Pt 2 tomorrow. Please be aware that under the Post 9/11 reorganization the USCG was transferred from the Department of the Treasury to the (then) newly established Department of Homeland Security. Consequently, I have established contact with another US Government Agency, the DHS, as a retired military officer concerned about their cyber COMSEC. Also be aware that Mark Kay has been fully informed of my SFOR product promotion efforts to government officials as the solution to their cyber COMSEC problem. In my last conversation with him Mr. Kay thanked me for my "efforts to increase product awareness".
