Hag, I know today is just another day around the world but today we (Americans) celebrate a holiday called "Thanksgiving". It started in the year 1621 when we Americans gave thanks for our gift we received for who we are. Here is a history of how it got started.

"In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November."

Today we give thanks for all the gift we enjoy such as freedom of speech, equal justices for all, and our constitution that guarantees all we have.

So from one american to a good friend in China I wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving day from one American friend.
