It makes sense that you would want to start a new year (2017) with the newly merged company...
Just speculation on my part; but everything seems to be in place and AASP is a very attractive Shell!
On the other hand, some deals may be put off until 2017 with the hope that President Trump will lower Capital Gains and Regular tax rates.
