Peg -- it was the very setting of that false 'cozy relations with Wall Street/big pharma' narrative in that frame, by folks ostensibly on our side, which was gleefully seized upon and exploited by Trump and his minions, and was, as it turned out, easily more than enough all by itself to tip the election to Trump

that, as much as anything else, is something which needs to be central to any 'honest look at where the party is and what just happened'
