GE did not acquire SLM. The AMAVF IHub board contains substantial information about the Swedish company[in electron beam enabled additive manufacturing] in which GE[Sweden] did acquire a substantial position, ARCAM AB, traded under the ADR symbol AMAVF in the U.S.

Investors in GE will wish to keep up with the substantial investments GE will make in additive manufacturing...CEO has said those investments will be transformational of several areas of manufacturing that GE has heretofore accomplished by other, more traditional methods.
